has anyone read his books? I love the legend of the seeker show and decided i would try to read the books. However the library only had the newest book he has published. So i am going to have to read the series starting with the last book and then try to find a copy of the first one. I was just wondering if anyone else liked the series.

dday 1- september 06, he was having a three month affair.
dday2- april 1st 2008, six months after oc was born, h finally came clean about everything.
Present day- trying to R again.

I got through about 4 or 5 books of the series. It was alright, but not the best... it just didn't seem to go anywhere and was dragging on. I gave up with the series because it seemed to be becoming a "even worse bad guy in town, get the even better super-power/magic item, and beat it". As long as you're not expecting a character driven plot, it's alright. It was full of quite a few fantasy cliches too from what I remember. There were some interesting bits of philosophy scattered in by Zed.

Not my favourite, but not the worst - pretty much in the middle.

I agree with SerJR. There are people who are loyal fans but after the first few books it didn't seem to have a cohesive goal. Try it, you may be one of the great fans!

If you like the "Legends" show, have you tried the Marion Zimmer Bradley Darkover series? They are pretty compelling and have intertwining histories.

Faith of the Fallen is probably my favorite book, but the entire Sword of Truth Series is absolutely amazing! The Law of Nines was good too, but would definitely make more sense to someone who had read SoT, although its not necessary. Debt of Bones is a good sort novel that gives a little history on Zedd and the boundaries. I'm freaking excited for The Omen Machine!!!

Does anyone know when his next book is coming out? He mentioned on his website "Every great legend begins with another...every great warrior has a mother." He also stated the sequel to The Omen Machine would be out in 2012. That's all I've heard, and I've searched and searched for more info. Any idea what's coming next and when?
