The series about Eve Dallas. I am about 7 books in.
I was ready to give up on reading any 'series' type books and then I came across this little nugget while reading a short story book that had a Sookie Stackhouse story in it.
Anyone else like it?

I really like them.
You have a lot of books ahead of you in the series which is always nice.

Am I alone in thinking this would make for some kick ass tv/movie type stuff??
Tubes of soda? Droids? Drying tubes after a shower?
Don't get me started on the Auto Chef

I was orginally optioned for a movie WAY back when the first couple of books came out.
I think it was with one of Mel Gibson's companies.
I don't think there is any intention of doing a movie at this time.

My Mom introduced the series to me years ago and we've been reading the books together as each new one comes out ever since. It's a fantastic series - definitely one of my guilty little pleasures! I love how the author envisions the future.

Watching the development of Peabody has been really enjoyable to me.
I get as much of a kick out of all the secondary characters as I do with Roarke and Eve.

I am in the middle of reading a short story book called Suite 606.
The first one had Eve Dallas in it. I had no idea it was a series.
I really enjoyed it.
Does the series have a name?

It is the "In Death" series by JD Robb.
So called because all of the titles have "In Death" in them.
There are a TON of books in this series.

I have read a bunch of them, more than 10 but probably less than 20.
I do like them a lot. But...after you have read enough they become pretty predictable. Now I will only buy them used (not new) and I have to be in the mood to read them. I do like how the secondary characters have developed over the course of the series.

This series has been my "My wife needs a pick-me-up/love you gift/general appreciation/stocking stuffer" go to series for what seems like 15 years now.
I love Nora Roberts because she writes so fast. Never read her, but I love her all the same for bringing so much joy/comfort to my wife and so much "you're a good hubby" sex to me.

I'm firmly convinced that any guy who doesn't keep at least a mental list of his wife's top 10 authors/musicians/current movies in his head at all times isn't trying hard enough.
I mean, that should just be a standard part of any shopping foray -- even if you're just going to pick up a case of engine oil -- you check the movies, the music and the book rack and see if anything new from someone on that list has come out.
Failing to do that is like leaving brownie points on the table.
And you should never, ever leave brownie points on the table.
You ever meet one of those guys who complains because his wife never does x in the bedroom? I'd bet that in something like 95% of those cases, it's because he's routinely leaving brownie points on the table.
It's not rocket surgery, menz. Srsly.

Wal's getting "good hubby chocolate chip cookies" next time.
I do love those books! Mavis and Summerset are two of my favorite characters.
