I looked at a few today but they coverewd a million different sutiations, like adopting as a single paret, being a widowed parent, how to find a lawyer, etc. I just need something supportive! Something that will give me some insight as to how I force my body to get up off my butt and fold laundry at 11pm when I worked 10 hrs and the kids didn't got to bed til 10, LOL! For the most part I'm very upbeat about being a single parent but some days I just feel defeated and beyong total physical exhaustion.

My local library sells used books for $1 a piece and I picked up "The Complete Single Mother" there. I haven't had time to read it yet
, but the reviews on Amazon are favorable. They also seem to like "Raising Great Kids on Your Own" which I may check out when I get through the backlog of about 50 books on my real and virtual shelf - only a slight exaggeration. So about 2022.

"The Courage to be A Single Mother" by Sheila Ellison is very positive
Here's a description:
Putting the Pieces Back Together
Step One: I Do Love Myself
Step Two: I Know What I Want
Step Three: My Family Is Still Whole
Step Four: I Can Choose Who I Am
Four simple steps. A world of truth.
At last, a source of compassion and support for divorced mothers facing the realities of raising children when their lives are at their most vulnerable and their self-images at their most fragile. Filled with more than a book on coping -- it is a source of understanding, encouragement, and strength that will help single women to nurture their children, resurrect their spirits, and create the life they want.
I ordered mine from Amazon. Btw, I totally hear you on the laundry thing. Hang in there!
