No im not talking about sex!
For the first time since i can remember, I sat down and read a 400 page paperback cover to cover in one sitting.
on a whim i decided to go through a box of books, I picked one out at random, and read it.
I must have bought it and read it last when i was in college.
I dont read as much as i used to since its not as easy to get books in english here, and when you do its full price and new...(im more a second hand and cheap kinda reader) But without a telly in my appartment there is only so long one can watch the fish tank before one starts to get a little weird so i went down to my storage room in the basement and bought up a box of books...
I started another one lastnight... i probably wont do another cover to cover till i get my hands on a new book, maybe some of the second hand bookshops actually do have an english language section...I havent been into any where im living now to check... So theres something else to keep me busy.

My problem is the exact opposite of that! When I pick up a book, I can't put it down so I frequently read books in one sitting. Or if they're really thick, it may take me 2 or 3 sittings.
For cheap books, try half.com. Takes awhile to get them but the price is right!

Yes, i used to be like that...
as a student i used to judge a book by the quantity of pages, cause i knew if it had lots id get more than 1-2 sittings out of it.
But I got married, i got a garden, and a house, and a small tribe of kids, so i got busy.
Now im on my own again, im still busy, but without the detritus of a TV and no-one to nag me about not washing the dishes straight away... well ive found a little time again.

SCD, check out PaperBackSwap.com. I'm not sure if they have a EU site/system as well, but it's something to consider.
Alternatively, you could start sending me $5 every month and I'll send you one of the metric craptonne of books I have here. What's your genre?

well i did it again.
this time with a book that i would not recomend to anybody here. Anita Shreve's A Wedding in December.
Was a pretty daunting read, dealing with infidelity and betrayal, lies of ommission, cancer, loss of loved ones.... and featuring plenty of poor decision making.
Still once i started i couldnt put it down.
Decided to shout my self a membership to the city library for my biirthday, theyre bound to have enough english books to keep me going...and well its probably cheaper and more light weight in the long run that way.
