I wanted to buy a book for a road trip I took over the weekend and found this.

Homer's Odyssey

A Fearless Feline Tale, or How I Learned About Love and Life with a Blind Wonder Cat

By Gwen Cooper

I am a cat lover so when I saw the book I knew I was buying it! I have not finished it yet, and can't wait to get home to it tonight. Not only are some parts LOL funny, but this little cat is just amazing. If you're an animal lover of any kind, this is a must read!!! It is truly inspiring.

Here are a couple excerpts from the back of the book:

Homer’s Odyssey is the once-in-a-lifetime story of an extraordinary cat and his human companion. It celebrates the refusal to accept limits -on love, ability, or hope against overwhelming odds. By turns jubilant and moving, it’s a memoir for anybody who’s ever fallen completely and helplessly in love with a pet...

... it was Homer’s unswerving loyalty, his infinite capacity for love, and his joy in the face of all obstacles that inspired Gwen daily and transformed her life. And by the time she met the man she would marry, she realized Homer had taught her the most important lesson of all:

Love isn’t something you see with your eyes.

He moved out 5/10. In limbo.

I was sad because I had no shoes. Then I met a man who had no feet.

Thanks for sharing this!

I love animals and have been so blessed to know the kind of unconditional love that only they can give.

I have a feeling that I'm going to need a box of Kleenex (or three) handy when I read this book.

Well, so far, no tissues needed! I find it hard to read those books when you know the sad ending is coming! But this has been nothing but a happy, fun, LOL book that has touched my heart -- this little guy is so inspiring.

Thanks, as I'm really happy to know about this book, too.

It also reminds me of "Arnie, the Darling Starling" ~ another funny book about an adorable and very *intelligent* bird!
