I'll race you to doing a search for all instances of the word "cock" and then reading those parts first. That's my strategy.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

LMAO!!!
Hopefully there will be many instances of both that word and "Barron's" along with it! lol
I can't believe we've had to wait this long.
If the book isn't good I will be very upset.

Thanks for the link!
I just finished a book and am ALWAYS on the lookout for a new (to me) author.
(And yes...what's not to like about supernatural sex?!)

Thank goodness it's supernatural sex being discussed. I was worried you two were talking about the newest Warrior Cats book.
Me: BS, 40, Him: WS 41
Married: 15 years
3 children

I'm not saying she's a great writer or these are great books, but Barrons is a great character, and she keeps you waiting a long, long time to see him in a sexual situation. She's very good at that.
In my head Barrons looks like Kevin Smith. Not the director who keeps getting kicked off of airplanes for being overweight. The one who played Ares on Xena and died tragically young and hot.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

The sex they have isn't supernatural, though. It's sex you could actually have, if you could have Barrons. A guy could pull that off.
Thing with Kevin Smith is that in addition to the unbelievable body, he had a cruel mouth. You know what I mean? Punishing kisses are very important in romance, and the guy has to have a cruel looking set of lips to send that message. You get a pair of pillow lips like that kid on Glee who looks like Macauley Culkin and how is that mouth going to deliver a punishing love-hate kiss? It's all squishy.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

Oh yes, the cruel lips.
Fat puffy lips bother me.
It's like they have sacks of jello hidden in there or something.
The Glee guy has lady lips.

I'd forgotten how hot he was:
I need to go find some Xena reruns.
Yeah, I don't like big lips on a guy. Every guy I've ever kissed who had big lips was a wet messy face eater.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

Yes, that is exactly how I picture Barrons.
