Has any one tried the stuff from Mark Gungor titled "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage"?

I have heard he doesn't agree with a lot of the conventional wisdom of counselors and was wondering if any tried his stuff and if it works. I did a search and see books dvd's and something called a flag page to help you discover your partner's and your own most important things in your life and then to treat each other in the most loving respectful manner for them.

Our church did the DVD series a few months ago. Although he does not agree with many conventional teachings of counselors, he does give A LOT of "ah-ha" type of information.

Example-men have a nothing box and are able to really think about nothing. For me, this was definitely an "ah-ha" moment b/c I cannot shut off my brain (constantly thinking) but, my h will look like he is thinking about something and when I ask him what he is thinking about, he will say "nothing". Previous to learning about his nothing box, I would get upset b/c I just thought he didn't want to talk to me. Now, I know that he is more than likely in his nothing box and is thinking about nothing

The nothing box is a funny video floating around out there and what got me to go to his site. It seems interesting, but I wasn't sure what to get since he has so many different videos, books etc out there.

We found the DVD's helpful. I have thought about looking into some of the other things he has available

Well I ordered the 4 DVD set "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage" and am trying to decide whether to order the flag page for each of us.

I highly recommend this. We went to a marriage seminar that DH's command (military) put on and it was very enlightening. Especially the flag page. It helped me understand myself almost as much as it helped me understand him. I plan to purchase the DVD set and pass it around to friends and family.

There is also a section where he talks about the secret to great sex. He touches on porn and fidelity and it was very moving, IMO.

I'm not going to let this define me anymore. He's gone and I couldn't be happier.

You couldn't have told me in July and December of 2006, but there really is a life after this mess.

Breathe, just breathe.

My wife and I saw Mark Gungor perform this in person. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. I know my wife enjoyed it as well.

I highly recommend you see it. For me, it had just the right balance of humor combined with invaluable real world advice.

I agree about the sex part...it was refreshing to hear someone talk about porn and the problems it can cause in a M.

It is a very funny series but it also gives good information
