I recommend it. Just finished it and loved it.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Compared to her other novels, I didn't really care for it.

Really? I read The Pilot's Wife a long time ago and her name caught my eye because I couldn't find any other books. I loved Rescue.
Today I got her book, Testimony.

I loved "The Last Time They Met", and "The Weight of Water". They were both haunting.

I thought it paled in comparison to much of her past work. Seemed half-finished and lacking in details to me.
But if it's your first and you loved it, you are in for a real treat going through the back-catalog.

I like Anita Shreve for my holiday reads. I too loved The Pilots Wife, but I think my favourite is "Testimony"
4 years out. We're getting there.......I will never forget the hurt he created by having a LTA with a serial marriage wrecker. I don't think he will forget the hurt either, nor how ashamed he is of his behaviour.....

Well, the shelf was filled with her books at our small library so I'll read Testimony and hopefully have some good reading for awhile.

I didn't like "The Pilot's Wife" but have liked others. I liked "Rescue" too. My favorite was "Resistance." It is set during WWII.
