This one is not for newbies or anyone who's easily triggered. It's written as a type of post-affair journal by a disturbed OW. I can't even say I enjoyed it -- but it was compelling to "experience" the mind of the kind of woman who would get involved in a LTA with a married man...and also a bit of a view into the narcissistic mindset of the married man himself.

I also would bet a nickel that the author, Tamar Cohen, is either a frequent guest of SI or a member because she has the language and the terminology downpat.

We're not the only site to use 'our' terms...but could be that she tried to pimp out her book here too.

She did try to hock her book here and then got extremely hostile and offensive when she emailed about being booted from here.

Maybe she didn‘t appreciate the collective BS revenge…

I think y'all are thinking of this prize piece:

Memoirs of a Widowed Mistress: A Love Story

Should be called "A Luuurve Story."

Different author.

Or maybe this other author did the same thing that Megan Von Dumbass did.

Wow; I'd have a hard time reading that if it was a novel; as a non-fiction, it's a non-starter for me.

I hope her revenge was Montezuma's Revenge...

There is a TV show coming on called Revenage.

Not sure what that has to do with this thread, but just saying.

In life, much of what one grieves one never had.

Oh pooh, I guess I missed the drama! Glad I didn't particularly care for the book then. I only posted about it because it kind of had a Fatal Attraction-esque aura to it that I hadn't really read before.

It is supposed to be fiction. And now that I know the author was a snot, I'm thankful I didn't buy it -- I borrowed it from the library.

ETA: And the "revenge" is really that the only one as batshit crazy as the OW is the married man she's been dumped by.
