I'm reading this book now, after watching Cain's Ted Talk and seeing it on the NYT Bestseller List for months. It is great, and it's changed the way I think about so many things. I'm an introvert, which was not valued in my family. I was always the "smart" one, and my brothers were the "sociable" ones.
Interestingly, I went on to marry a real extrovert to compensate. And here I am, sixteen years later, on SurvivingInfidelity.com!
I want to make sure I don't do the same thing to my own daughter, who is a sweet, well-adjusted introvert. She's perfect, just the way she is.
