Oh! I just posted this online tool in another thread. But, once you're on the home page, you can type in an author and they will list similar authors:
http://www.literature-map.com/janet+evanovich.html
Then, you can check out the reviews on amazon to see if they sound like books you would like.
Or, if you go on amazon, there frequently are other titles that people who liked this book bought. I have found some good stuff there.

If you always think to yourself, "You know what would make this better? INFINITE RANGERS!" then check out the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley. They're a lot longer and there's more sex (not tons, but Evanovich barely has any) and they're way, way better.
It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz, I think there are five books in the series so far. The Spellman Files is the first.
The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.
