We have a tendency to think the love offered us is a reflection of our worth and value. But in actuality,it's a reflection of the person that is giving it.We love out of who WE are-not because of who the receiver is.At least in terms of real love.TSMF

Nope but the little I know is that some people live by his mantras and some people can't get past chapter 1 of any of his books. Anyhow, which one of his works are you reading?
Real love is a CHOICE, NOT a feeling...

Yes, read several.
Deeply irritating and repetitive prose. Simple premises padded out to make a book, albeit very slim volumes.
Having said that, I think probably that the purpose of his prose style and content is to induce a kind of trance, so that the qualities invoked by the kind of words used go in by osmosis, and this is quite effective, poetically and emotionally. Quite cogent in this way.
Why did I read several? Only because I'd already bought them, and am a very fast reader.
My main recollection is that of the necessity of gender polarity for continuing attraction. There is something in that, of course, but one had to suspend one's disbelief in order to go into the realms of myth and essentialsm invoked for the duration.
