I haven't read the book, but I'm considering doing so before I see the movie.
Has anyone read it?

Yes, years ago and it was really, really good. Very different and creative sort of storytelling. You get the first half of a set of stories, each in different time periods from past to future, then the second half of the book is the conclusion to each of the stories. If the movie stays true to that concept I think it will be great.
Not all the stories were my cup of tea, though most were, but even the ones that don't do it for you tie everything together with a common theme.

Thanks Circe! I'm going to have to add this to my list of reads before I go see the movie.

Very late to the party, but I read a lot, and loved this novel. I recommend reading it in chronological order, not cover to cover.

I just saw the movie, didn't know it was a book. Wow. WTF???? This annoyed my SO, but made me curious. After the movie was over (and it was a 3 hour movie!!!) I started it again and got a better idea of the concept.
Now I want to read the book. I think that would be better.
The movie has nice visuals and good actors. It just didn't make a lot of sense.
