Here is my random thought for the day:
As I watched a man, guiding his son, crossing a busy 5 lane street, 50 feet from
the crosswalk, I can't help but think that the badgers one day will rise up and take over.
Only we humans, perpetually in a hurry, taking every shortcut, would think to do something so completely
against the survival instinct. We purposely, brazenly even, take chances daily, endangering the lives of
ourselves and other people. And then we take this bad idea and teach it to our children!
Meanwhile, badgers are out there, eating small reptiles and frogs, teaching their young to dig for food,
and hide from coyotes...but then when their back is to the wall, they've been known to kill and even eat
their predator!!! (look it up!)
This is what I think about on the way home from work.

Jump? Technically you couldn't call it jumping. Gravity does most of the work for them.

Okay. This leads me to my second
Random thought for the day - Thursday edition:
Some animals are just plain scary. Or creepy. Or should not exist.
Like Naked Mole Rats. How is this creepy thing in existence? He has no fur for protection.
He has very pale skin that burns easily and his teeth are ON THE OUTSIDE of his mouth. WHY, God, WhY?
Wrinkle faced bats. This guy looks like Skeletor. seriously.
Dragonfish. He has fangs. A fish with FANGS!
Rat Snakes indeed can climb high in trees to find prey. They will also hide in old woodpecker holes.
Black Rat Snakes are known to climb rafters in barns and similar buildings.
So that's it. From now on I'm packing a flame-thrower.

Um...bamboo snakes drop down on things that shake the bamboo stalks, and the snakes are poisonous. Just sayin'....
I also gotta say, BR, that this post makes me think you could definitely be management material. I mean that as a compliment. Really. Too many managers don't let their minds flow at all....
