Only spring themed please...
Aaaaand GO!

April snow rains down.
Bright tulip faces peek through.
Winter's blessings end.

Do we have to make them up on our own or find them?

BaxtersBFF posted 4/11/2013 20:46 PM

Why only Spring ones?
Can't we write of beer and chips
in a hotel room?

BrokenRoad posted 4/11/2013 20:47 PM

jrc - you can find them or make them up.

BBFF - you can make them about beer and chips as long as there is a flower in there somewhere

BrokenRoad posted 4/11/2013 20:50 PM

Like this:

Beer and Chips are great
Hotel rooms are good too but
Flower bedspreads suck.

BaxtersBFF posted 4/11/2013 20:52 PM

Flowers don't taste good
Beer and chips taste wonderful.
To lazy to cook.

jrc1963 posted 4/11/2013 20:54 PM

spring is here now, ya
sneezing, wheezing, sniffing, dripping, tissues
pollen breezes in achoo

BaxtersBFF posted 4/11/2013 20:55 PM

5, 7, then 5
that is the right path forward
for springtime haiku

BBFF - I don't think that last one follows the rules.

No fair editing!!!!

did we t/j this?
sorry brokenroad, sorry
leaving now...flowers

BaxtersBFF posted 4/11/2013 21:13 PM

Here's a serious one.

Springtime fragrance wafts
In the early morning dawn
Bringing a new day

I have sarcococca hookeriana planted outside the front door. For those who don't know it, it gets an early, very small white-ish flower that you can't hardly see because it grows at the base of the leaf, and the smell is one of the first to come out in spring. Love it.

Springtime is leaky
Rain and mud and wind; not fun
Love summer rumblers.

Sad in AZ posted 4/11/2013 21:26 PM

Sounds like a parasitic infestation! However, Himalayan Sweet Box sounds

I miss the night-blooming jasmine and citrus blossums in AZ.

Blossoms all around,
unseen to watering eyes.
No thanks, hayfever.

What about flour?
Beer battered chips need flour!
Beer, chips, and flour.

An STD, and the source therof?

BaxtersBFF posted 4/11/2013 22:49 PM

4, 6, 4 aesir?
what hast you done to haiku
one syllable word?

KBeguile posted 4/11/2013 22:58 PM

First falls the spring rain,
Then flowers blossom in fields.
Suddenly - rabbits.

aesir posted 4/11/2013 22:58 PM

flour and flower are homophones, therefore the same number of syllables.

ETA:
Gesundheit!
