Don't have a lot of info. Many injured!

SisterMilkshake posted 4/15/2013 14:16 PM

Many bodies down, not moving. Blood, oh, there is so much blood.

SisterMilkshake posted 4/15/2013 14:21 PM

A bloodied about 3 year old boy.

Catwoman posted 4/15/2013 14:23 PM

I am in the office building right in front of where that happened. We are on lockdown until further notice.

SisterMilkshake posted 4/15/2013 14:25 PM

Oh, Cat, I am so sorry. I am so frightened for everyone there.

starrysky posted 4/15/2013 14:25 PM

Boston is my hometown & my sister is at the marathon today :( I'm desperately trying to reach her now but phone lines are bogged down.

Sending up so many prayers right now.

Undefinabl3 posted 4/15/2013 14:27 PM

Sending prayers that way.

NBC said that the delay between explosions...if done on purpose, is usually typical of trying to hurt the first responders in an attempt to hurt more people.

CNN is covering it

confused615 posted 4/15/2013 14:30 PM

3 people dead.

Catwoman posted 4/15/2013 14:31 PM

We heard the explosions and saw the smoke. The property management came on the intercom and told us that police had asked that we stay in the building until further notice.

ajsmom posted 4/15/2013 14:32 PM

No words.

Catwoman - please be safe.

jrc1963 posted 4/15/2013 14:33 PM

OMG!!! Prayers....

Stay safe Cat!!!

SisterMilkshake posted 4/15/2013 14:33 PM

(((starrysky))) Praying for your sister's safety.

Deeply Scared posted 4/15/2013 14:34 PM

Cat...please stay safe!

Its all just so sad I hope this was an accident and not terrorism. Wishful thinking I suppose

Catwoman posted 4/15/2013 14:38 PM

It definitely looks like a bomb (actually at least two) and our building management called it "criminal activity."

I am on the 23rd floor above and back away from the explosion site. From what we have been told, our street is shut down and they are not allowing people to exit onto Boylston Street.

Scary stuff.

Thinking of everyone there. I'm flashing back to the disbelief and horror that hit at the beginning of 9/11.

Amazonia posted 4/15/2013 14:43 PM

oh Cat

peridot posted 4/15/2013 14:51 PM

So sad, stay safe Cat and every one else. I hope it wasn't a bomb but looks like it probably was. Do we have any one from here running? I know we have some runners here.

starrysky posted 4/15/2013 14:53 PM

I'm still trying to reach my sister, she was just a spectator, not a runner. I, of course, am in the PAC NW as my husband is active duty Army but when I lived in Boston or when I visit (it's my hometown) Patriots Day was one of the best days of the year. Truly a festive day with the Red Sox playing & then the marathon. I have so many fond memories....

My entire family is trying to get in touch w/ my sister but know it's difficult as the phone lines are insane right now.

(((HUGS))) to you, Cat!
