Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is too "musical" for my students!

This was the look I got every time a character launched into song.

Ask them if they'd rather be doing math right now!

I'd take math. Movies in class were always an exercise in trying to stay awake.

Well, since I'm only showing it as something to kill time and give them a break from the state testing ... I don't care if they fall asleep.

I rarely show movies in class... when I do, they're purely for entertainment.

This is only the third movie I've shown the whole school year...

If they were a little older, you could torture them with Paint Your Wagon the infamous musical featuring the lyrical Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin.

Worst.Musical.Ever

If I had a choice between Willy Wonka and doing school work, school work would win each time. Hands down.

I'm with your students I'm on this one.
