Hi all, I'm requesting lots of all of the above.
My H had a massive MI with stent placement 5 years ago about 2 weeks after his 40th birthday. He was lucky and had no residual damage.
About 2 years after the stent was placed he had difficulties, with shortness of breath, and I pushed for another Cardiac Cath, and he had stenosed his first stent. Got a a second one inside the first.
Here we are at 3 years later, and having same issues. Had a stress test last week, and flunked it. Just got him scheduled for a Cardiac cath next week. Here's the kicker if it's the same spot, same vessel they will not stent it. We will be looking at open heart surgery.
The good news is that is a vessel that can be done w/ the new minimally invasive bypass procedure.
I am actually hoping that he has disease someplace else so they can pop a stent in and be all good again.
