Hi,
My husband was served with the divorce papers today. He is an addict as well as committed adultry with a woman who was pretty involved in our family life. Even took care of our 4 year old daughter on occasion. Does anyone have some suggetions of books (both for me and her) on divorce, addiction, alcoholism.
Thanks!

HappyRunner, Have a look in the Healing Library - there are suggestions there.
Are you in IC? Mine has given me lots of suggestions but I haven't had time to read any books lately.
I'm interested in the books for kids suggestions though.
I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

The best book that helped me navigate what to tell my kids was "Dinosaurs Divorce" written by the author or the PBS Arthur series. I also went through the local libraries for other kids books, several about two houses, etc. My favorite book for me to deal with things was Helping Your Kids Cope with Divorce the Sandcastles Way. I only wish I had read it earlier in the process.
