A few months back I posted about going to a nightclub concert alone and got a lot of great support and feedback.
The show was Monday night and I almost wimped out (it was raining, I was tired, my ex was late to pick up my son wah wah) but I made myself go and I am so glad I did.
I really didn't feel awkward at all, before the show started lots of folks were alone (probably waiting for their friends).
Once the show started I just got lost in the amazing music and it was one of the best performances I have ever seen in my life. I even sent a message on Facebook to the musician that performed thanking him for the fantastic night and he actually answered back. I guess I'm officially a groupie LOL!
I'm so very glad I went and I definitely will do so again!

I've done this too, several times now. I love country music, don't know anyone else that does, so now I go to concerts alone quite often. I have come to enjoy them. I can sit back and listen to the music and relax. Good for you.

Good for you!
I was at a Bon Jovi concert last month and beside us was a lady just there on her own. It was great to see her there enjoying the night, I went out of my way to chat a little bit with her, and she mentioned she didn't give a rip she was there by herself, she was there with Jon, lol. I told her you go girl!

Whooh hooh! And music is a great thing to partake in :)
I found doing stuff alone, putting down the cell, computer, etc..., has allowed for some great reflection and also a way to intake the joy around me.

Very proud of you!

Great for you! I am the only one who likes rock out of my 3 sisters and 2 brothers, friends, so...... I have gone on my own.
Listen, we can't sit around and wait for someone to go and enjoy life with us. We have to go out there and grab it!
Yes, getting off of the "box" as I call them, phone, pods, tv, computer is so, so much more fulfilling to me.

This is so true. Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. This New Beginning stuff can be hard and it's great to have something positive to share. Rock on!
