Ok, so it's May 2nd. I woke up this morning to about 2" of snow on the ground. It's still snowing like crazy and it's predicted that we could get up to 6" today. Lots of schools around us have been closed for the day, and we have a winter weather advisory until 7:00 tonight.

Oh, and it's 32 degrees outside! I suppose I should make a kettle of Chilli for dinner.

It was 82 yesterday. Today it's 49. I hope this cold weather hangs on just a bit longer. I'm not ready for 100+ temps.

It was 80 degrees here on Tuesday. It was so nice to finally have warm temps.

There is still ice on all of the surrounding lakes here!

(((WW)))

I am afraid real spring and summer will never come this year. We are on out third day of 70 degree plus days, but the rain will be here soon.

My poor bees are sooo confused, I am very concerned that the ladies are not going to be able to make honey like they should because we are sooo far behind on nectar production because of this neverending weather.

I should be thankful that we are NOT getting snow here.

I have well over a foot of heavy wet snow on the ground and it's still coming down. Sigh.

Brilliant blue skies all day today. Warm sun, birds singing (the robins especially). We had an early & rushed spring, almost all the early/mid/late spring flowers bloomed at the same time & are about done. Kids went to school in short sleeves.

Hang on, y'all! The good weather will come for you soon!

Snow here. Someone must have pissed off Mother Nature.

The last time we had snow on this date was over 100 years ago.

I agree, kernel.

jrc, I would love, love, LOVE to be in Florida! I would move down there today if it wasn't for our businesses up here in Wisconsin. Mr. willow and I go down to Florida every winter for a few months, however, this year we couldn't go because he had hip replacement surgery. So this has been one helluva lonnnnnnnnng winter for us. He still needs to have the other hip replaced. Hopefully it will be done and he will be recuperated enough to go down there next winter.
