Not a particularly stressful week at work...been proctoring standardized tests all week. The good thing about that is my brain gets a little mental break. Bad thing: I start checking out for the school year. Yeah, teachers start checking out in May just like the kids. Well, at least this teacher does.
Teslet is with me this weekend. We are working on planting the garden and cleaning the house. We'll probably get out to the special ice cream shop and hike a trail. Was thinking of having a fire in the fire pit and roasting marshmallows saturday evening. We'll see.

Sounds lovely, tesla.
No big plans here. I would love nothing more than to spend the whole weekend in bed with my stack of books, but that isn't in the cards.
Maybe a run to Goodwill, the consignment store, and the dump as part of my continuing battle against "the accumulation." Maybe just holing up inside and waiting for the rain to pass.

The SO other and I are camping this weekend. Just going to lay around and watch movies. Of course, our camping consists of a 31 foot RV with bathroom, fridge, shower, 32 inch tv, laptops, and a king size tempur pedic mattress. Roughing it, lol. There will also be some adult beverages...let the fun begin!

I'm home with the kids tonight. We're watching youtube music videos that I've put on a playlist for each kiddo - spongebob and lyric versions of pop hits.
We will probably play a game or something later. Right now DS6 is working on his shrinky dinks while DS5 is singing along with the videos.
Saturday - SO has the day off. Nothing planned during the day yet, but we'll be doing something. Possibilities are the park, zoo, checking out DS6's science/space kit, and bike/scooter rides. Tomorrow night we're going out to a family dinner for SO's mom's birthday.
Sunday - Church in the morning. I asked SIL if she had anything planned this weekend yesterday, but I haven't heard back yet. Maybe we'll visit with her and her 3 sons after church.
tesla, sounds like a good plan for the weekend. I should add clean the house to my plan as well!! The fire sounds relaxing already.
NIK, thanks for the reminder, I should check out a thrift store for some summer clothes.
Mandilwen, I miss my childhood camping days!

Teslet woke up from a nap a little bit ago and informed me that there is a Hawaiian Family Dance at his school tonight. Just checked their website...yep, he's right. So I guess we'll head out to it for a little while tonight.

Always so happy when the weekend rolls around again!
Tonight is relaxing, maybe some packing or reading.
Saturday: run in the morning with my friend, more relaxing/packing/reading, then I'm volunteering at a fund raiser dinner for my favorite nature center. This is expected to take most of the rest of the day. I may head down to my parents' house, then, as my sister will be there.
Sunday: run in the morning with another friend, then nothing planned.
Somewhere in there, I need to grocery shop, clean, and PACK! (I am maybe jumping the gun a bit, but so excited to finally get out of this apartment!)

Raining here and it is forecasted to rain all weekend. So, no gardening BUT my oldest (DD 23y) is flying in tomorrow and staying through Wednesday. She will be going through all of her things in the basement storage to decide what she will take with her to her new apartment in Miami (she graduates from Tulane Law School in two weeks!). I will also be cleaning out more unnessary clutter.
My DS 16y and DD 18y are both working and going out with their SOs. Looks like it will just be me and DD 23y having some mother and daughter fun!

Tonight, it's a bottle of sweet merlot and a bag of animal crackers. Eventually I'll probably get around to a real dinner.
For the rest of the weekend, I've got the "same old blah blah blah" that TA has. Whether I get anything else done on my massive to-do list depends on whether I actually write out the list that's in my head, or not.

It's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK but i'll mostly be working. Got jobs to get on top of for my own business and start my new job on Wednesday so need to get cracking. It's going to be hard going running them both side by side but I'll have a good crack.
So this weekend ill mostly be very tired and worn out!!!

No plans other than laundry, vacuuming and cleaning my bathroom but I imagine I'll do three of four things spontaneously. I seem to be overcompensating with fun stuff now that I'm divorced. Don't really know what else to do with myself.

Tonight was taking care of a puking kid (poor baby) and cleaning the house between cuddle sessions on the couch.
Tomorrow SO (Ha, first time I've used that!) is coming around noon to hang out kid free for the next 24 hrs. We've planned dinner out, cooking a Cinco de Mayo breakfast and church. If it's nice outside, we'll fit a hike in there, too.
I pick up my kid on Sunday...I'm counting on XH to take good care of him Saturday. We shall see what we are up to that day, depending on how well he feels. Praying it's a less than 24 hr bug.

Well today was spent unpacking as I move into my new place and trying to keep my blood pressure down over the breakage by the movers. They broke a priceless piece of China that I couldn't take in my car, jackwads!
Have to be at a garage sale at 8 am to pick up a shabby chic nightstand that will start my new decor. Then off to meet up with another seller to get another French provincial stand to create my own Paris decor bedroom. Try that with a jerk npdxwh....HA never happen! The home to unload and take a nap from 3 nights of no sleep.
Sunday hmmm unpack, arrange and try to learn how to buy furniture cheap enough to refinish and resell. Or maybe just couch surf.
Anyone up for a coffee on Sunday? I gotta make new friends that are close enough to go have some fun.

Sunday, i'm running a marathon. First one this year!
won't be a PR, but i'm sure looking forward to it. then checking out some local microbreweries and heading back home on Monday. Nice to leave the stress behind.

I spent Thursday night at SO's place -- after having a stress meltdown on him at dinner he suggested driving home might not be a good idea! We had classes Friday but biked to and from school in lovely weather. We both have presentations in class in 2 hours -- so he got no sleep, is freaking out finishing it, and I (having finished mine in good time, hence the stress earlier in the week) am sitting here on SI with a cup of tea.
After class we will have a nap, or he will, and then head to my place with the bikes to take a ride in the suburbs tomorrow. And do more schoolwork.
Sometimes I wonder if this whole doctoral program thing is a good idea.
