I haven't been on for a while because I have been super busy and life is moving on and treating me and my family pretty kind until this weekemd. Had a bunch of nasty encounters and they have stressed me out A LOT.
Saturday:
HORRIBLE DAY. WARNING GRAPHIC!!! Adult daughter, friend and myself went to go antiquing, garage saleing, and thrifting in Wichita in middle of day. Seriously unhinged man approached daughter asked her for a sex act in very nasty language. Tried accosting her (by grabbing her arm and trying to yank her away)even with us present. Called 911, he tried following her into a store with us, some burly guys blocked his way. Police came, were awesome, busted crazy in the park picking lilacs for her. Turns out he was a convicted child molester released from prison after a technicality sprung him free. Gotta love the legal system who set this rapist free. One of the scariest days of my life. Happy my daugher is unharmed thought he was going to kill us. Officers were awesome, he is arrested and on a 72 hour mental hold and doesn't know who we are. Wish he would rot in prison. Made a fun day super scary, but we were all happy it was over.
Sunday: At a store waiting to check out-it was a TJMAXX and they have a long curving path to the check outs OR you can go straight to them if they are not busy. There were less than 10 customers in the entire store. There were 3 checkers open, NO LINE AT ALL, and 2 people checking out, so I proceeded to the empty register. The older man next to me begins chastising me for being a rule breaker and skipping the long path to the registers. I laughed, thinking he was joking. He then began taking my items I had placed to be rung up off the counter and starts putting them back into the cart, telling me I WILL check out the CORRECT path way. The cashier assured him I was fine and that there were NO other customers. He then proceeded to cuss us both out, and then left.
Last night, I went to a Walmart to buy groceries with my daughter-after our huge total was rung up-the register froze. The cashier stated her register had been screwing up for weeks and hadn't been fixed. So she called over a CSM (who lied and represented herself as the assistant manager) and the CSM began yelling at the cashier that she must have unplugged the computer and made the cashier cry. I stated she had done nothing to the register and got ready to move to another register and asked if we should do that or could we just pay and leave since they already had the items totalled up. The CSM began SCREAMING at me that we were just to stay put. I asked her to please not yell at me and get me the manager. Of course manager wasn't in. I would have left, but daughter and I had just spent an hour loading up the cart and she needed food for home. So, 45 VERY UNHAPPY minutes later, we left, and the CSM was a complete bitch when I asked for the manager's name and number and stated he wouldn't care how she treated us-so I guess Walmart Corporate is getting an email from me later.
Ok, I am done whining and feeling sorry for our family, but it was kind of a sucky weekend with all the craziness. I need HUGS.

(((Ripley))) I'm sorry for your terrible weekend, but I'm really glad that your daughter was not physically harmed and that she has a mom like you, who got the cops involved and got this molester off the streets.

I'm sorry about your stressful weekend. Sounds like what happens when there's a full moon!
And on another note, that's just one of the MANY reasons I DO NOT shop at Walmart! DS had a very similar experience there just before Christmas. He felt so bad for the poor cashier stuck in the middle that he went to another store, bought her a Christmas plant and took back to her. She flinched when she saw him at her register again because he had been so angry (at the management person), but he explained that he felt bad about what happened and wanted her to know he didn't blame her, but the CSM or Manager who handled it, and Merry Christmas. She was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say, just stood there holding it while he walked away.
ETA: She first tried to scan it because she thought he wanted to buy it, until he explained.
