I hardly slept last night. I've been anxious for weeks waiting for this surgery to happen and be over. I feared the worst. I posted a couple of weeks ago about this. XH's has family (5 people) that died from anesthesia during routine surgery. This was his first time going under. I don't know if he ended up telling the doctor about his family history or what. He texted me about 30 minutes ago that he's out of surgery. He's in a lot of pain. He had a deviated septum. He explained the surgery was going to be like taking a drill up his nose and clearing everything out. Ow. But he's alive. I'm relieved.

I'm so glad he survived. And that deviated septum surgery? It's a bit owie, but in comparison to other surgeries, not a huge amount of pain and a fairly easy recovery (no blowing your nose or bending over for a while).

Hope your anxiety is gone and you get a peaceful night's sleep tonight.

Thanks guys. XH called me this afternoon after he got home. He sounded funny since his nose was all blocked up. He said the pain is terrible. Vicodin is doing nothing for him. I asked him if he ever told the doctor about the history, he told me "no. they never asked." Some things will never change, but I'm glad I don't have any bad news to tell my boys except that they are stuck with me again this weekend.

I'm soooo looking forward to bedtime tonight!!!
