Just venting here. I'm not sure where this post belongs. D/S is my main board, which is why I put it here, but maybe this is more like an Off Topic?
It never fails. STBX emails me this morning to inform me that DS #1 is throwing up. Sure enough, he gets home looking like death warmed over, and he's gotten sick again since. All of my Mother's Day plans are canceled, so I've taken this wonderful day to honor my role as a mother to clean! Gosh, it's been so much fun. It's exactly what I had hoped would happen today.
And of course, the younger two are disappointed at being stuck at home, so they've been taking turns at being difficult. I also get to cook dinner tonight, which I wasn't going to have to do originally, so aside from a few brief moments when the kids were being cute and giving me their cards/homemade gifts, this Mother's Day has been more like an Anti-Mother's Day.
So, although I can't reschedule the family dinner, I'm going to reschedule Mother's Day and hopefully have a nice day next weekend instead. I think I also need to schedule that pedicure I've been thinking about getting for some time.
I hope you guys are having a nicer Mother's Day than I am! Feel free to reschedule a do-over if necessary!

Good idea rescheduling to next week. Just enjoy being with the kiddoes even as trying as it is.

order in some Chinese food, put the kiddos to bed early, and prop your feet up in the bath or with a good movie.
Sorry your baby is sick! :(

I have a sickie, too. We've been huddled on my bed, watching Little Women on cable.
Sorry your day was crappy. Here's to rescheduling!

((((tryingagain74))) that is reason we HAVE Mother's Day, because you are there in the trenches dealing with sick kiddies, upset tummies, vomit, disgruntled sibling etc
Can you schedule your own, personal, mid week Mother's day treat? involving, idk, a pedicure, mimosa, chocolate, and some shopping?
((hugs))
