I need some guidance. What were books and/or resources that you used for dealing with enmeshed families and inner child stuff?

Overwhelmed can't describe the situation. This has to stop. I need to build up my arsenal on how to deal with this. Kind of a double whammy right now.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone read: Emotional Incest Syndrome or Family Secrets: Path to Self-Acceptance and Reunion? Were they helpful?

I have not read any books on the subjects per se, but have learned - worked on enmeshment from my CoDA work, and books. I don't remember which one, but I think all of Beatie's (sp?) books cover it to some extent.

Good luck Aubrie-

Aubrie, I just finished reading "Facing Codependence" by Pia Mellody, which was recommended by my IC in dealing with the very issue you described. I cannot recommend it enough.
