My stbxww favorite line was near the beginning of the movie.

"you can always find something good in anyone".

Okay. A good positive message.

The line that resonated with me wwas towards the end of the movie.

"people like Tom and Daisy wreck other peoples lives and then retreat back into their own shell"

This describes a lot of WSs and Aps.

I have heard that the story is based on Randolph Hearst, who was a narcissist. Saw a lot of the cheating pig in that character. The over the top life, the charming man who sweeps you off your feet.

No regard for the lives they devastate in their search for happiness.

I got into the marriage, because I loved him. I got out of the marriage, because I love me.
