My stbx just this evening sent me and the mediator an email changing the amount due to me upon sale of our apartment. The first open house is scheduled for Sunday. I think I have to cancel it and have my attorney get in touch with his. I can't simply accept his terms which are now different than those that we discussed in mediation.
Have you had to pull the plug on mediation and go to court?

He might be trying to strong arm you. Is it possible he's bluffing to get his way?

You have to talk to your lawyer. No, he can't just decide to change the amount. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to cancel the open house, but I wouldn't accept any offer until you have the terms worked out.
