Not really doing anything big. Have a playdate arranged for Teslet in the morning. Then ex-shat picks him up for his weekend. So I'll probably work on the yard, finish up some paperwork for school. Oh and I think I am finally going to a movie. It's taken me a long time to work up the gumption to go by myself...but that damn star trek movie is calling to me! So fuck it. I'm going to do it. I haven't been to a movie since 2 weeks before Teslet was born!!
I'll have Teslet back Sunday evening so I thought it would be nice on Monday to ride the train into the city and go to a museum.

Sounds like a good weekend planned. I took myself to the movies for the first time last summer. it was good. I went online and a friend in another city saw the same movie... and we spent part of the evening talking about the movie in a chat room. LOL.
I just found out DD and DGD will be away this weekend... now I need to find things to do - besides cleaning.

Sounds fun; enjoy the extra long weekend! Going to movies alone is one of my new favorite things to do.
I'm working tomorrow, but since the market closes early, we get to leave early! I have cleaning and packing to do. Saturday for sure is dinner with friends. Sunday I am heading down to my parents' house and we are having a marathon new season of "Arrested Development" party/sleepover. It will be so much fun!
And, I get to run tomorrow morning for the first time in nearly two weeks (since my injury.) So excited about that!

I'm packing up DD and heading to my sister's new house for the weekend. There's wallpaper to remove, painting to be done, and rooms to decorate.
It's the last weekend with DD before she heads to the residential treatment center next Friday. We're having a VERY difficult time with her anxiety leading up to admission, so I'm hoping the change of scenery and additional folks around will help get her out of her own mind for a few days.

My weekend starts sometime tomorrow.
Plan to knock off a bit early and mow my yard, go to my son's graduation, play golf Saturday morning, go out to eat with my daughter and a visiting friend from Chicago Saturday night.
Sunday will be Church, Wal Mart, and then Assisted Living with my dogs in the morning and then Birthday party for my girlfriend's mother.
More golf on Monday morning and then leave in the evening to take my son to Freshman orientation in Louisville.
Tesla, If I was 20 years younger, taller, more handsome, braver, smarter, and lived in your area; I would surely want to go up to meet you if I saw you at a movie alone!
I went to see Titanic by myself many years ago when I was on the road for work. Didn't bother me a bit.
PHMH, one of these days we will have to run together. You better get in better shape though!
To those that don't know, she hurt her ankle in a 50K trail run and still finished! That is impressive..

The first movie I saw by myself was Rocky
I had had a fight with the X (then my bf) and cried through the whole movie
It was very liberating.
I have nothing to do this weekend but pack for my trip to NorCal for the g2g then onto Phoenix to see mom

I have a long weekend, which is nice, although I have until Tuesday to make my decision about transferring for work.
I think I'm going to see if I can get anybody to see Star Trek with me. If I can't, I'll go by myself. I plan on going over to my Dad's for a few hours to sit down and talk with him about pros and cons of my possible move and we're having a big family picnic on Monday.
I have a feeling that deciding whether or not to move is going to ruin my whole weekend.

The first movie I saw by myself was Babe. I had the day off work for some reason, and hesitated at the counter of the multiplex, asking the slacker-guy selling tickets about the various movies. He recommended Babe, heedless of my movie preferences, because, as he pointed out with irrefutable logic, "What's not to like about a baby pig?"
Enjoy your long weekend, everyone!

I've had a busy couple of days here. Had some major plumbing work done on the house and today we had new windows put in! Our old windows were awful and so leaky.
My sister is here and I am driving home to see my family for the summer on Saturday. My sister is driving up with me and the kids. Three days and about 1600 miles, hopefully we survive! I'm so looking forward to just being around old friends and family for the entire summer though. It's a much needed break from the dirtbag and his skank that is moving in with him this week.

I'm going to catch up on work today. Will drop the boys off to XH's after dinner. SO and I are going to a friend's concert tonight.
Saturday - Boys are getting dropped off in the morning. Not sure what I'm going to do with them. Weather has been so drastic lately. 80 on Tuesday and 50 on Thursday.
Sunday - Going to church and not sure what after. SO's brother invited me to a bbq at his house. My mom mentioned they might be going up to the cottage.
Monday - Nothing planned here either, but I'm sure SO and I will take the boys to do something fun.

My bowling team placed first in the second half last week, so tonight we are bowling the first half champs. Saturday Iíll be headed up north for a 6 year oldís birthday party. Sunday I anticipate will be a Memorial Day bbq, Monday Iím planning a double feature matinee to finally catch Iron Man 3 and Star Trek. Hurray for 3 day weekend!
I canít remember the first movie I saw alone. There was a movie theater by my college and one semester I had 3+ hours to kill between classes so I would pop in from time to time. It was never awkward at all, and I always got to see what I wanted and sit where I wanted.

I just started a list of things I want to do this weekend, and Iron Man 3 by myself is on it!
Hitting Happy Hour tonight with some gal pals. Other than that, some chores and errands tomorrow, then heading to a baseball game with my bro and SIL on Sunday.
The Y is closed all weekend to refinish their floors, which totally has me bummed as I was hoping to get there at least twice to make up for the times missed while traveling on biz this past week.
Planning to completely chillax on Monday. It's been a hell of a week at sea, and my bones are aching.
Have a safe weekend, all!

Going to StarTrek by myself this weekend too. Love to go to the movies by myself, sitting back in the dark in a comfy chair, being able to live through all the emotions of the movie without feeling embarrassed - love it.
