So today was last day of school.
A mom invited the entire class for a swim party. Siblings included; she's done this before and I took my kids.
Well - XH just can't be bothered.
It irks me because while it's NOT fun as an adult to be there (BTDT) it's fun for the kids and he just couldn't do it for DD (whose class it was for). I'm sure the kids really loved sitting in aftercare instead. And it wasn't like someone else wouldn't have taken our kids; I couldn't get off work, but when I could for this, *I* drove other kids too, no questions asked. Of course it's rough being a working parent!
Gah, he's such a douche.
ETA: DD has sports all this holiday weekend. So I mentioned I'd forgotten to pack something she'd need for it. He's like, "It's cool - sport all during a holiday weekend, no thanks". I was stunned. This is the sport HE signed DD up for w/o talking to me and I spent like last 2 kid weekends immersed in sport - but nah, he's good. His stepDD was even signed up, but now that it's summer and she's with her dad, she's not there so why the fuck should he/they waste their time on this?!
Gah he's such a turd!!

He's definitely a douche-turd, wanna. Sometimes I look at the dumb shit STBXWW does and I wonder how'n hell I spent 17.5 years married to that!
Sounds like you're in that same place.
Divorced the cheater and living my best life now.
The best thing about hitting rock bottom is that everything after that looks fucking fabulous.

Yeah, if the kid stuff seems 'fun' to him, he'll do it. IF not - no effing way.
Well guess what? A lot of it isn't 'fun' but it's what you do as a parent.
It's sad to me. Especially when DS is asking if he can stay with me this weekend, even though it's dad's weekend.
