You just take it one step at a time. If you're not ready, appreciate the compliment, and pass for now. You'll know when you're ready.

Agree, take one day at a time.

Doing the same over here. Met a guy six months ago and like him instantly. Then he came back into my life a few weeks ago. He says the right things and I feel he means it. Last night he went out of his way to see me for just an hour. I am guarded and I have told him why. If he is right for you he will understand. Good luck to you.

Temporarily independent with the whole world at my feet.

I know the feeling. I've had two dates...didn't go anywhere. I was so nervous and anxious....but it was so liberating afterwards. It has given me courage and strength and even hope for the future...whatever that is. Take just one step at a time.
