My 26 yo son went hiking this past weekend and to say it was an adventure is an understatement. What he didn't put in the blog is that he almost fell off a cliff at one point ; Nearly cracked his skull on a rock crossing a high creek... Thankfully he has educated himself very well for these hikes he takes, and was able to keep level headed and everyone came out safely. He is chasing the 46 peaks of the Adirondaks.

Been there; done that I'm still nursing a sore knee from falling in the creek at Dinosaur Valley over Easter weekend.

I'm glad he researches his hikes, but does he hike alone? It's not a good idea (from someone who doesn't take her own advice...)
