Yup today I am 41. :)

Today I own my own home.

Today I have a 12 year old son who is doing well in school and sports

Today I am getting ready to run my 2nd 5k of the year

Today I am best friends with my sister and have a mom I talk to every day

Today I have a boyfriend who puts me first, cleans my kitchen when I am not home because he had the day off, who buys me lunch and runs it into work when I say I am tired

Today I realized I can't remember the OW's name, I no longer think about the Ex all the time

Today I like who I am :0

Hello 41, you are not so scary. I will toast you with a marguerita tonight on my deck that I built with my own money. 41 is good

So right around the time I turned 30 I was at the gym with a bunch of girlfriends who all were right around my age. We liked to go to yoga class and then brunch after on Sundays. We were talking about how turning 30 was not as bad as we thought it would be, in fact it was awesome and how we welcomed getting older because some of us liked the idea of being wiser and if 30 was this great then 40 must be a pinnacle of wisdom and centeredness. At this point a woman who was much older than 40 made sure we knew that at 40 we still would not have life all figured out, but when she got to that age she'd let us know.

12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.
