I used to love her books, especially those featuring Rizzoli. I liked her character allot and, mainly due to my career choice, really identified with her and her professional struggles.

Since that awful show has come out though I've found that the characters have really been watered down to bring them inline with the sappy tv characters. Each book that is dutifully lumped out every year by Gerritson just feels forced.

It's such a shame when a good author gets pressured into the money machine at the sake of their writing.

Any suggestions for a new author?
