No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Most of my girl friends have part time jobs in retail (on top of their "real" jobs, which are 40+ hours a week in career jobs). The problem with that is that 80-90% of their paycheck gets recycled into their employee discount.
I've considered getting a job at my yoga studio. You get one free class for every shift you work at the front desk!

You can also 'nanny' or 'elder-sit' part time. Use the site care.com to advertise. Great $ in that.

care.com also has other services - doing someone's finances, home organization, house cleaning, etc.

If you're not a 501c3 corporation, you'll have a lot of 'spainin' to do to the IRS...
House cleaning is a good one if you're adept at it (not my cup of tea)
Some call centers, like Progressive Insurance, have work from home jobs, but there has to be a call center within reasonable driving distance, as you have to go into the office once in a while.
