Yeah I got one!
It is oh so tiny but then so is my credit limit. I filed bankruptcy in 09 due to D and unemployment.
I had a couple of secured credit cards right after and small loan loan. I've paid faithfully. I got an very small limit unsecured mastercard last year. Unbeknownst to me until looking at my bill this month they gave me a credit limit increase a few months ago.
Holy cow! financial progress. I may survive the worst part of D - the destruction of my credit rating!
But that's just a lot of water
Underneath a bridge I burned
And there's no use in backtracking
Around corners I have turned

Good to hear. My bankruptcy just hit the 1 year mark. I haven't even tried to get an unsecured card yet, but I'd really like to see myself get a house before the kids age out of CS. A house payment would be cheaper than rent.

Wonderful!
This also gives me hope. I am doing the same with the secured credit card.
I hope to have my credit standing back soon..

Congratulations. It feels great to get out from under the shadows, doesn't it?
My XH absolutely DESTROYED my credit rating when we were divorced, to the point where I was absolutely out of the financial loop for years. A few years ago, Capital One took a "chance" on me and gave me an unsecured MC with a 300 dollar limit. At that time, I was so grateful that ANYONE would have given me a look!
Now I have 2 cards, one of which has a 5-figure limit, as well as my own house, so yes - it's very possible to recover, and even in a short time!
Congrats again.

Congratulations! I'm 30 days out from my BK and want to get a small secured CC next month so that I can start rebuilding. My goal is to buy a house in the next few years. I'm saving every penny I can (while still living life).
