Dday/S was almost 5 years ago, D was final last April. I don't post much here, because to date my NB has been all business - just trying to wrangle up a living, (I was a SAH - HSchooling mom).

Well, I just returned from the Caribbean! Days on the beach, cocktails by the pool, horseback riding through the mountains, snorkeling on a coral reef! Just Awesome!

Other than the trips the kids and I took to see family, it was my first vacation in over 30 years! Care to guess when I got married... Before that I'd backpacked through Europe, camped across Canada...

But married - the X complained I never wanted to go anywhere or do anything. I'm just realizing this is another area where I ignored the facts and let him spin things... See, we "never had the money" to go on a real vacation.... When the truth is, this trip cost less than a 1/3 of one of his many precious guitars...

When I got home, I'd received an "I love you" text from the X, (first Contact in six months). So glad I didn't have reception down there!

I am still waking up I guess, remembering who I am, what I enjoy... but it finally feels like I'm taking a step into a NB!!
