Hubby and I just got back from our 2nd annual wedding anniversary camping trip. We were VERY much looking forward to a few days away from civilization to unwind. With hubby's unemployment, stress over finances, and just keeping it all together, this trip is just what the "doctor" ordered.

We had such a good time as did the little fluff ball we brought with us (Gabriel).

Ready to hit the road! Gabriel is the official Navigator.

Our campsite was lakeside.

Sunset

Gabe LOVES the water. Unfortunately, he also loves to roll in the dirt when he's wet...

So, does Gaby clean-up on her/his own? We have an Aussie that everyone thinks we bathe to keep clean. But he cleans up within a couple hours on his own. Low-maintenance puppies are great.

@jrc - it WAS heavenly!

@Baxters- Yes! Gaby is self-cleaning. Within a couple of hours he's snow-white and fluffy again. The grime just seems to falls off.

LOVE that about his fur (but his fur does tend to mat if not brushed regularly).

ETA: Gabe is a mini American Eskimo (if anyone was curious about the breed). A few years ago when we were looking for another dog to add to our little pack, we almost adopted an Aussie from the pound, but someone beat us to him.

Aussies mat too. We have to check him out and trim probably three or four times a year. Nothing bad, usually behind ears is all.

Our Aussie is about 50 pounds or so. Not a mini...

That sounds like our little fluff ball too.

What a relaxing and peaceful place to chill! Thank you for sharing the pics.

I love your dog. Northern breeds are the best. We have a Malamute puppy that's creeping up on 100 lbs.
