No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Nope, nuh-uh, not even a little. Mind you I think they're cute but seriously no.

I want one, too!! So cute.

I have eaten one of these creatures, sorry to say. I work with refugees and am friendly with a family from Liberia. The dad of the family was going on and on about how he was hungry for "grasscutter." He couldn't explain what it was, and capybara didn't exactly spring to mind. The family had spent a few years in South America where they first had this meat and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what they were talking about.

Anyway, a friend of his came to visit, bearing a parcel covered in newspaper. There was a big raw hunk of "grasscutter" within, looking not exactly fresh. I have an iron stomach, impervious to bacteria, so I ate a big plate of stewed grasscutter and it was GOOD. Only learned later "grasscutter" = capybara.

It DID taste like chicken.

He's cute.

Reminds me of Manatees only smaller with feet and on land.

I'll have one too. Slow cooked, lots of BBQ sauce and a toasted bun, please, with a side of potato chips & some ice-cold beer.
