Need modem mojo

Lightening strike took out my modem on Wednesday. Internet company is sending me a new one...but it is still not here! Ugh. Hate typing on my phone.
Also--online classes a little tough to work on right now. Had to get a babysitter the past three days so I can go to a wifi spot.
Really, really need this modem to show up tomorrow!

Do you have an Android phone? If so, download Foxfi from the market and tether from your phone for the time being.

I have an iPhone, don't suppose there is a tether app for that?

ETA: Scratch that. Here is an app that apparently works. Costs $2.00 though.:

There are tutorials on the top to connect to various devices. It looks a lot more complicated than doing it on Android and I've never personally used to to verify that it actually works but it might be worth a shot.

Well, dammit, I don't speak French.

According to the tracking number, it's in the area but not out for delivery. Guess they aren't delivering on Sat...so I guess I'll get it on Monday.

I guess the winner in this is my babysitter:)

Ugh, sorry. Not having internet stinks. I've had crappy service as long as I've been in this apartment - Verizon would go out for days at a time and when I called to complain was told that there was no problem and my router appeared to have full signal (I tested this by once actually unplugging it before I called them...and got the same b.s. response). I've been using Clear for about 8months without a problem and then suddenly last week it went out and now won't work anymore. So frustrating.

My upstairs neighbor told me to just use their Comcast though, when I was asking around to see which service might actually work in the neighborhood. Wish you had a neighbor to mooch off too.

Ps if they told you it would get to you earlier than it does, I would definitely call and complain, and ask for a refund or credit on your bill!
