So I've been doing really good, more up days than down... getting things accomplished around the house and feeling really empowered. Today I decide to tackle syncing my itunes crap. Music, photos etc. There are still photos of XWH on my phone and I want them off of there! Not necessarily deleted forever, but definitely not in my face everyday, you know?

I am not techy AT ALL, and I have never had a good grasp on itunes, icloud, synching and that stuff. XWH was a whiz at it, and did it for me. Long story short, I am failing tragically at trying to figure this out today. I got the photos off my phone, thank god, but the music is still all screwed up and the Apple store wants $99 to help me figure it out, IF they have someone available that knows PC stuff instead of Mac, since I have an ipad and an iphone, but a Dell laptop.

So now I'm in tears over this and feeling so pathetic to be affected by something so DUMB when I have faced bigger challenges over the last weeks and been fine. I hate getting ambushed by my own emotions like this, and I hate even more that moment of wishing I could call XWH, since it would take him about 2 seconds to handle this and I've been fighting with it for an hour.

I guess I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

I will admit that I ask a friend from work, who works in IT, to help me with this sort of thing. Is there an acquaintance or friend who could help?

I'm with you. Dday for me was when I had to get my grades in and WS had always helped me with the formulas on my xcl sheet. We were in the middle of a move and so I still have a whole bunch of electronics (Wii and whatnot) that I have no idea how to hook up! Would have taken him 10 secs.

I found a techy friend to help with the grades and he is going to teach me to make my own (I made sure to make an arrangement for a lesson). When I'm strong enough, I'll tackle the other electronics and call customer service if I have to. Ask around to see if any friends or friends of friends have knowledge/advice.

And when you figure this stuff out on your own, you're going to feel awesome. The first couple of weeks I would leave home an extra hour early to make sure I didn't get lost on my way to new places in the city, etc (WS used to do most of the driving) and when I'd find a place on my own, it felt great. Something I so relied on him for and turns out I always had it in me. It will be the same for you.

I usually Google stuff I don't know how to do.. I'm not that great either with techy stuff, but there are some really good tutorials online, so I would recommend looking around on there.. Google has been my lifesaver quite a few times, lol..

When I need to know a good porn site or how to lie to and manipulate everyone in my life including my lawyer, family, friends, spouse, and co-workers, I'll give him a call..

Hi gals,

Thanks for your responses. I have asked around for techy friends, and friends of friends.... we'll see if some help turns up. I have also used Google for help on a number of things. For some reason it didn't occur to me to try it for this problem. I will check it out. Thanks, Butterfly Girl!
