We all have busy lives with jobs, maybe kids, and a million other responsibilities, so our time is precious. However it has been my experience that carving out time for an activity you love can help you through a bad day. Personally I like to run or ride my bike after work, or shop on my lunch hour, or indulge on an overpriced coffee or pastry. What do you all do to treat yourself well when you need a boost?

Truthfully, I've been shopping. Well, buying..... I hardly ever buy any new clothes and have spent about $1,000.00 in the last 2 does make me feel just a little better for a fleeting moment.
I realize this is actually not a good thing but, whatever. I have lots of new cute clothes and I get compliments on them so it validates my purchases......however wrong that may be.

I also have been running and biking. Should do more of that and I am trying to concentrate on that instead of impulse purchases.

Not returning my new clothes though :)

Bath at night. Sitting in hot water is sooooo therapeutic.

Also, I make tea. I always know that I'm taking care of myself when I have a cup of tea in my hand.

I have to say, on a bad bad BAD day I go into retail therapy and high caloric consumption.... but I try to make sure it's a doozy before I go bonkers.

Generally too busy during the week to have really bad days, more like moments that pass because there is something else needing my attention.

I find weekends can be a bit rough at times (particularly around antiversaries and if I stumble across some remnant that I forgot to throw away/destroy). I take my dogs up to my horses and the five of us hang out together. Animal therapy, the perfect balm for the soul

Me: Awesome - 35.... ummm, not anymore

I have dogs & chickens to help keep a smile on my face. They are always doing something.

I have been freshening my wardrobe. I think that's a great idea! I feel better when I have good clothes on.

I dud my nails long & beautiful. I usually keep them short & practical.

I am really tanned right now from working outside & I am going to maintain it for the summer anyway. I look healthy!

I like this post. It reminds us to do things for ourselves in a time when it's hard to think.
