So part of my NB is taking back things I like to do. We had (he now has) a family boat that we spent hours on. It really is the most relaxing thing to do.
Anyhoo, right after d-day I had a hitch put on my car, so that I could tow our boat. Decided too many memories and I never wanted to see that boat again. This summer I found a place that rents jetskis. So I have rented 2 for a day to go out on the lake with my DS(who can't wait) and some other family members.
I have never dropped the boat into the water. I have always been the one in the boat. So I will be towing the jetskis (first time). Luckily the amount of towing is probably 5 miles, no freeways. And because DS16 does not drive yet, I will be the one dropping the jetskis in the water. I suspect it will be quite interesting for anyone who is watching me. I am not known for backing straight down.
The good news is I will be back on the water

you will do just fine! Sending positive thoughts for straight backing, just in case.
Do it. Have a blast! Don't limit yourself.

Not to worry, there is always peeps there to help. I did the same a few years ago and had a couple, that were unloading their boat, guiding me. The man asked if he could do it for me but my truck and I did great !!!

It's my life now, my choices, my mistakes to make and my victories to celebrate. His choices made me free of liars and betrayers in my life. That is priceless.

There has to be a first time so there can be a second and a third. You're learning a new skill!

Try this trick.
Put steering hand st the boyyom of the steering wheel. As you slowly back down, turn your hand in the direction you want the trailer to go. For instance, if you want the trailer to go to your right, turn your steering hand, gradually, to the right!
Enjoy your time on the water!
