I was reading a magazine yesterday and there was an article about how activity-based dating sites, such as How About We are increasing in popularity and how sites like Match and OKC are getting on the bandwagon.
I was curious if anyone had tried How About We or done any of Match's events.
I'm not single right now, so I'm not really asking for me. More just curious about what seems like it might be a new cultural phenomena
12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.

I've tried to recommend How About We to a few people here on SI but no one seemed interested
I have friends who have used it and love it.

My guess is that the young 20-somethings who write for NYC-based fashion mags don't really represent an accurate sampling of the nation's dating pool. So what they and their friends deem trendy, might not really be a thing anywhere else.
But it sounded kinda neat. Like if I was still on the market I'd be all over that.

I'm a 20-something in metro DC and it's gaining popularity here - but I doubt I make a much better representative sample than what you're reading.

My sister posted "How about we do a flash mob." No response. She decided the people on it were boring and just did the flash mob.

Well I decided to give How About We a shot.
So far, all the how about's are pretty lame. Maybe I'm expecting too much creativity?
I will report back as I've now samples Match and OKCupid.
