He told a girl there "Sorry I didn't accept your facebook friend request. I only accept requests from women who are in my family." She looked at him as if he had two heads and told him she didn't know if he was kidding or not. He said that, no, he was serious and that the reason was that it would be disrespectful to his wife
He was around 30 and handsome. It was pretty awesome to witness.

Pretty good stuff.

That is what the world needs more of. Someone needs to call his wife, and tell her. Because if someone told me my H did that, I would be ready to reward him when he got home....

What a refreshing post...there are still some respectful honorable people out there. That just made my day. Thanks for sharing.

Damn! I think I love him!

However, I would imagine infidelity has already occurred in that situation.

(The wife is probably already a member here, lol).

I don't sound jaded do I?

SoVerySadNow posted 7/9/2013 13:11 PM

Good for him! It probably was after infidelity- his or someone close to him.
After dd, several women at our gym asked to be WH's friend on FB or for his email. He told them that no, he didn't friend women that weren't directly either a family member or tied directly to his wife and he together (sure friends of the marriage). One even tried to physically grab him in spin class which was met with an emphatic "No!" and him moving away from her. That's what began his ramp up of PDA with me at the gym-warding off the hunters. It showed me he "gets" it. He wants me in spin class but he's safe there without me.

Yep. The fact that they make it clear they respect their wives and snub the advances make the ho's want them even more!

Or he is

Or, the dude has great values and gets it.

I for one would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Kudos to him and his parents for how he was raised.

I like that he said that - it was very respectful. That said, I do feel a little bad for the girl - it could have been an innocent gesture on her part. I have all kinds of male facebook friends on whom I have zero designs.

I've never facebook friend requested anyone from the gym though!

That's awesome! :)

WS and I deleted our pages and got one together. Fbook was their way of communication so I do have some ease now.

IrishLass518 posted 7/9/2013 13:38 PM

How wonderful gym guy is and I hope it is reciprocated by his wife. I can only hope that this is from good strong family foundations and not from a brush of infidelity.
