The cleaning ladies came into my house to clean yesterday and decided it would be a good idea to feed my DD's puppy, Boswell, a sugar cookie instead of one of the many dog treats sitting right next to his crate (WTF?!?).

I get home after work and find cookie crumbs all over the floor. First I was pissed that they did such a piss poor job but then after I let Boswell out of his crate I found more crumbs inside the crate. Boswell was running around like a maniac, his eyes were rolling around in his head and his heart was beating way too fast. He refused to eat last night, which is not normal and when he did finally ‘cop-a-squat’ it was not normal either. The vet said that Boswell could have easily died from that much sugar in a 2½ pound body. (Boswell is a Toy Chi.) Grrrr…..

Can't possible imagine any reason to give a puppy a freaking sugar cookie. I spoke to the dog walker and she said that Boswell was acting perfectly normal when she come over to walk him at noon. I fired the cleaning company this morning.

I'm pretty sure if I were in your shoes, the cleaning company would also be getting a copy of your vet bills.

tush it scared the crap out of me. Especially since the vet, on our first visit, made a point of telling us the Chi's tend to get diabetes as they age.

Amazonia - the company has already agreed to pay for the vet bills. Of course I didn't give them an option.

One possible bright side could be that Boswell will be completely terrified of human food from now on. (I can dream can't I?)
