In my petition for divorce, I am wanting custody and child support.

Question: Is it typical "answer" lingo for the Respondent (WH) to ask for full custody and me pay child support?

He acts as if he didn't know the papers would say that.

I may be panicing for nothing, but who knows.

From what I've read in this forum, it's typical.

Don't freak out...let the process work itself out.

ALso, I see your DS is 15, he may have a legitimate say in this may want to start talking to him and your L about that.

It's pretty common, whatdoto. The petition and answer are the starting points for negotiation. Standard procedure to ask for every single thing, whether it makes sense or not, and then negotiate down from there.

Don't panic - hang in there.

My L said it was. It happened that way for me too. Ex acted like he had "no idea" and "never intended" blah blah blah.

don't panic, but do prepare your response if your L has asked for it.
