I don't even know if it qualifies as a NB--I've had many in the past few years.

I'm moving back home--sort of. I've accepted a position in upstate NY--where I basically grew up. I spent every summer-and a lot of the winter skiing-here from age 5 to 18.

I start my new job on August 12th, so it's another quick move. I'll be managing a custom car dealership specializing in Corvettes; some very high-end classic cars (including Trans Ams, my favorite) plus late models-Corvettes, BMWs, etc.

It's exciting, scary, and so me

Oh, and there may be another part of the NB--it's much too early to say at this point, though...

Wow, that sounds awesome. Congratulations!

Woohoo!! Welcome to the east coast! If you happen to be driving to the new abode, you'll be coming very near to my area. The gang and I would love to meet you.

Wow! I was just getting used to you being in TX.

I threw it out to the universe--I've been applying in NY, AZ, NM, CA-whatever struck my fancy. The only interest I received was from NY. I guess it was meant to be.

Congratulations. Opportunity for new birds for the life list!

Wow, you move around almost as much as I do... Congratulations!

Where do you find these places to apply to?

Congrats! How exciting! It always sounded like your Texas job was very unfulfilling. Good for you for trying something new. Takes guts!

Cool!!! You were looking at NY even when you applied for the TX job, weren't you?

And you already know the language so it'll be easy to blend in.

Good luck with your move!

Wow, Sad!! Awesome job!! I'm very jealous... although I'll admit I'm partial to German cars. Keep me updated on the Bimmers

...and I LOVE Saratoga, if that's close. Maybe an upstate GTG is in order...

That sounds amazing, congratulations!

How exciting! Especially the opportunity to see people you grew up with!

After my move just to a smaller home a year ago, I don't think I could survive that!

But you are amazing SAZ - I'm so happy for you!

Sad in AZ posted 7/13/2013 21:08 PM

Yes, Ama. I was actually approached by one of those companies back in April; that started my me on the hunt again. Nothing came of it, but it gave me the impetus.

Kajem--I set up alerts on and; that seemed to cover all the bases.

And hill,I'm up for a g2g anytime! I'll be very close to Saratoga.

Can't hardly image two much different climates though.

Bet your thermostat settings change!

Good luck!
