I'm reading a book called 'The Women Who Run With Wolves' at the moment and I came across a passage which describes exactly my view of what I think love is. And, what I hope one day I will achieve with someone else.
I thought I would share.
'Yet love in its fullest form is a series of deaths and rebirths. We let go of one phase, one aspect of love, and enter another. Passion dies and is brought back. Pain is chased away and surfaces another time to withstand many many endings, and many many beginnings - all in the same relationship'.
I think this is beautiful :)

I like that. I think you should make it your signature. Well if it fits.
I trust you is a better compliment than I love you, because you may not trust the person you love, but you can always love the person you trust. - UnknownRelationships are like sharing a book, it doesn't work if you're not on the same page.

I liked it until it got to the part about "all in the same relationship" lol! I always think of things like that in terms of my current situation and it could too easily be applied to the abuse cycle, IMO. One birth and death is enough for me

lol thenon-goddess!! One birth-death cycle is certainly enough for me where ex-shit is concerned. But, yes I do believe that in a committed and loyal relationship where this respect and honour are key parts these words ring true. :)
