It looks like this... JAJAJAJAA (how you laugh en español)
So I have been on an exercise regiment that starts with walking every morning at 5:45 AM and for the last few months I have crossed paths and waved and said, "Buenas Días" to this guy on a bike...
About a week ago I was wearing a nicer walking outfit than usual and he complimented me on it.
Last week he flagged me down to give me a big bag of mangos from his yard...
This week I started wearing my hair in an updo because of the heat and again he told me upon crossing that I looked "muy bonita"...
How can I know if he is just being kind, or if he is actually interested in me?

Of course he's interested, no man give a strange lady mangos!!!
At the least, he wants to get to know you better....

But mangos are EVERYWHERE now.
All over the side of the road and abandoned in boxes... so its not so much the mangos , as much as he did carry 10 lbs of them in his backpack to give me, so OK, so what do I do now. if anything to let him know.... WTH lets do something more to know each other besides WAVE HOLA?

Give him an avocado into which you've carved:
"Do you like me? Circle one:
YES
NO"
Es perfecto. ¿Verdad?

Gracias. Subeeeeen!
jajajajaja.

Pain and suffering is part of life, but I choose to feel love and compassion for all people excluding no one.

Welp....that is definitely a unique approach!!!
So....you did not say but I assume YOU are interested in him?
If so, is there anything you can make him with the mango to "thank him"? IE....is there such things as breads, cakes, muffins, cookies, pies, etc made with mangos?
Seems to me he has extended the 'mango branch'....your turn to show any sign that your interested.
Can't wait to hear!
Edited to add: I just googled "Mango Muffins" and lots came up! You go girl!!!!

I don't know if I am interested in him or not... he is in the right age range, which is a big improvement over the abuelos who usually want to talk to me... but who can say w/o more interaction?
As for the avocado approach... the average price for an avocado right now is $3 each, for a mango... not even 1¢... jajjajajjajajjaaaaa
This tree is about ONE BLOCK from my casita, and the avocados overhang the sidewalk, and I would so like to just reach up and SNATCH one...
...Yesterday he pulled over his bike to ask me about his mangos, and I told him they were very sweet and nice and that i enjoyed making them into protein smoothies with bananas..
...EVEN KEEL, I do make a mango hot sauce with habaneros and jamaican jerk seasoning that I send to friends in the uSA, but here in PR they are WIMPS when it comes to hot sauce, so giving him a bottle might very likely SCARE HIM away...JAJAjajajJJajjaAJAJa...

I so want to move to PR someday. My life long dream. Live on beans and fruit. Live somewhere with mango trees. Not in San Juan, but in the country side.

It sounds like he is interested and agree with EK, it's up to you to show that you are also interested. Keep it subtle so that if you did read him wrong, it's easy to back peddle without awkwardness. Flirt a little and see how he responds.
I've been off the dating scene for so long I'm not in the best position to give specific tips about flirting...I think I'll start a new thread so I'll have the ideas ready when I eventually do start dating!
